Status: Part-Time/Temp Job (Non Exempt)
Compensation: $18-$20/hour
Reports to: Social Services Director

Position Summary:
Under general supervision, performs a broad range of secretarial, administrative, and technical assistance functions for Social Services Federal Rental Grant; required to control the release of sensitive information and to exercise frequent independent judgment within the assigned areas of responsibility, with the latitude for initiating action on behalf of the supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answers phone inquiries about the Federal Rental Grant.
- Reply to all emails concerning the Federal Rental Grant
- Process application for Rental Federal Grant.
- Compiles information, prepare and process.
- Maintain and audit financial records related to grant applicant, and calculation of income.
- Delivery and distribution of rental checks.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualification:
- Clear evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, and ethnic backgrounds
- Any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of this would be completion of high school with and secretarial or administrative support.
- Knowledge of proper English usage, grammar, vocabulary, punctuation, and spelling
- knowledge of computers and computer software, such as office 365, excel, word etc.
- Knowledge of arithmetic; ability to analyze documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with required procedures and regulations.
- Ability to maintain accurate and orderly records and files.
- Ability to use initiative and judgment in working independently while recognizing matters that should be referred to supervisor.
- Ability to follow written and oral directions.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, administrators and others contacted in the course of performing assigned duties.

Job Title: Immigration Law Intern
Status: Non-paid
Reports to: Immigration Attorney

Position Summary
The candidate will be exposed to a variety of law areas, with a primary focus on immigration law.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct Legal research
- Prepare USCIS packages for active cases
- Prepare correspondence
- Modify documents
- Attend legal consultation and case briefing
- Administrative duties include but not limited to answering phone, contact USCIS and clients
Qualification
- Law student 21 and 31
- Must have good research, writing and interpersonal skills
- Interest and coursework in immigration law preferred
- Bilingual is a plus
- Be able to work 20-30 hours/week
