Mission
Central Texas Muslim Women's Giving Circle's mission is to encourage philanthropy in the community and contribute in a strategic and meaningful way for the betterment of our community in Central Texas.
What is a Giving Circle?
Giving circles are a powerful way to deepen our connection to community, amplify our giving, and create lasting change. The Central Texas Muslim Women’s Giving Circle brings together women who share a common faith, values, and a commitment to serving our neighbors. Together, they pool their resources, select impactful local organizations, and fund projects that uplift and empower people across Central Texas.
The Giving Circle is more than just pooled funds—it’s a shared journey of learning, service, and giving. The members:
1. Pool Financial Resources
Together, they create a larger, more impactful fund than any of them could alone.
2. Select and Support Local Nonprofits
Each year, they learn about the most pressing issues facing our community and vote to fund organizations making a real difference.
3. Amplify Impact with Blessings
Through shared intention, their giving becomes more than dollars—it becomes a source of blessing and change.
4. Foster Community and Share Outcomes
They track and share the impact of their giving, invite others into the circle, and stay connected with the organizations we support.
Impact
• Year 1 Focus: Women & Families
Awarded $12,500 to Posada Esperanza, a full-service transitional housing program for immigrant mothers and their children escaping violence.
• Year 2 Focus: Children’s Health
Awarded $16,000 to Lirios Pediatrics, which provides compassionate healthcare for uninsured children in Texas.
In addition to funding, they engage directly with the recipient organizations through service projects that involve members and their families. They also host social events to build sisterhood, reflect on our impact, and grow our community of givers.
How to Participate in the Giving Circle
Join the Giving Circle
• Make a yearly $500 contribution to the pooled fund (Donate by January 5, 2026 to participate in next year's cycle).
• Participate in the annual Big Give event to hear from the finalists and vote.
• Attend service and social events when possible.
• Invite others to join the Giving Circle
