Mother’s Day Luncheon 2018 – Save the Date

Save the date for our 7th Annual Mother’s Day Luncheon on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 11:30 – 1:30 PM at the Double Tree near Northpark.

Individual ticket: $100
Table of 10: $950

The 7th Annual Mother’s Day Luncheon will celebrate and honor local women who are entrepreneurs ad business leaders. We are currently taking submissions for local business-women who would like to distribute their promotional business materials to our guests. It’s a wonderful opportunity to showcase one’s business to 300 guests and gain more exposure to the community, all while donating to a good cause. More information here.

Join us for our 13th Annual Fundraising Gala on January 27, 2018 featuring keynote speaker Imam Khalid Latif!

Shafaq Ahmad Receives Diversity Award

Congratulations to Shafaq Ahmad, IARS Artist, on being recognized as a Diversity Champion for Global Arts by the Greater Dallas Asian American Chamber of Commerce on October 27.  Congratulations Shafaq! 

TMWF Honored to Receive Social Work Award

At its Annual Program Meeting held in Dallas October 19-22, 2017, the Council on Social Work Education honored the Texas Muslim Women’s Foundation with the 2017 Partners in Advancing Education for International (PIE) Social Work Award. “The CSWE Global Commission is delighted to recognize the foundation’s extraordinary achievement in international social work education.”

We are so happy to announce that Imam Khalid Latif will be our special guest and keynote speaker for TMWF’s 13th Annual Fundraising Dinner on January 27, 2018. Imam Latif is the Executive Director of the Islamic Center at New York University and is the first Imam to be invited to serve as a Chaplain for the New York City Police Department. Hind Jarrah, Ph. D. selected as a “Maura Women Helping Women” Awardee

We are honored that TMWF’s Executive Director, Hind Jarrah, Ph.D. has been selected as one of the Dallas Women’s Foundation 2017 Leadership Award Recipients. The Maura Women Helping Women Awards are presented annually to exceptional leaders who have pioneered the way in improving lives for women and girls. She will be formally recognized at the Dallas Women’s Foundation Leadership Forum & Awards Dinner on May 9. TMWF PSA wins Studio Movie Grill Competition

Filmmaker Emily Miller, senior at Booker T. Washington High School, recently won Studio Movie Grill’s “Shared Stories Film Series and Competition” for her PSA on TMWF.  The competition focused on young female filmmakers and showcasing women’s issues. We congratulate Emily Miller and her teacher Niloo Jalilvand on the winning PSA and thank them for spreading awareness about our organization.

The PSA will show at all Studio Movie Grill locations across the DFW Metroplex. If you happen to see it, let us know!
