Digital Media Specialist Job Description
Status: Full-Time / Exempt

Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, creative professional to join our team as the Digital Media Specialist. This individual will be responsible for effectively informing and promoting Peace in the Home Family Services' brand, mission, and programs across all digital marketing channels — including social media, website, email, text, etc. The ideal candidate will develop and implement a forward-thinking digital media strategy, produce compelling content that builds audience engagement, and serve as a storytelling champion for the communities we serve. This role also provides digital marketing support across all agency programs and campaigns.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Peace in the Home Family Services' brand voice, style guidelines, and visual identity standards across all digital platforms
- Build and manage an annual social media content calendar; plan, produce, and publish content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok
- Identify and develop compelling storytelling opportunities that authentically communicate Peace in the Home Family Services' mission, impact, and the voices of the communities we serve — across all digital channels
- Produce and document high-quality content including written narratives, graphics, photos, and video that captures the stories of clients, programs, and community impact
- Maintain organized documentation of all content assets, campaigns, and digital media processes to support institutional knowledge and continuity
- Design and execute digital media campaigns aligned with Peace in the Home Family Services' mission and fundraising goals
- Coordinate the creation and publication of digital content including website updates, blog posts, press releases, and e-newsletters
- Manage the TMWF website, including SEO strategy, content updates, and performance monitoring via Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console
- Track, analyze, and report on social media metrics and campaign performance using Meta Business Suite and other analytics tools; apply insights to continuously improve results
- Utilize AI-powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Canva AI) to enhance content creation efficiency and quality
- Create professional visual designs and layouts using tools including Canva, Figma Make, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
- Manage social media scheduling and publishing workflows using Hootsuite or similar platforms
- Assist in producing the Annual Report and Impact Report
- Develop and maintain crisis communications SOPs and effective communication procedures for various situations
- Stay current with emerging digital media trends, platform updates, and best practices; proactively recommend new strategies
- Set up and optimize company pages across platforms to maximize content visibility and audience reach
- Conduct industry research on peer nonprofits, DV agencies, and relevant organizations
- Attend committee meetings, fundraising events, and programs as needed
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in social media, digital communications, marketing, and/or nonprofit work preferred
- Exceptional storytelling ability — must be able to craft compelling narratives that humanize impact and resonate across diverse audiences
- Strong content creation and documentation skills, including writing, photography, video, and graphic design
- Strong background in graphic design and social media content strategy
- Proficiency in: Canva, Figma Make, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft 360 Suite, Hootsuite, social media platforms
- Knowledge in Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and Meta Business Suite
- Familiarity with AI tools for content creation (e.g., ChatGPT, Canva AI)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong multitasking and organizational abilities
- Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment
- Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
- Ability to tolerate prolonged sitting or standing; may require bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying objects up to 25 lbs., with or without accommodations

STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Status: Full-Time / Exempt
Reports to: Finance Director

POSITION SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant plays a key role in maintaining the financial health and accuracy of the organization’s financial records, including its For-Profit Food 4 Good social enterprise. This position is responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping in Sage Intacct, and supporting month-end close processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in nonprofit accounting.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Timely and accurate recording of revenue in Sage Intacct against appropriate accounts, campaigns, designations, and pledges.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up with donors and vendors as needed.
- Assist certain areas of accounts payable as needed.
- Prepare and post journal entries with proper documentation.
- Maintain orderly online accounting and development filing systems.
- Record and reconcile in-kind donations
- Assist with annual audit preparation schedules
- Process quarterly sales tax and annual franchise tax return
- Other duties as assigned
Donor & Development Support
- Collaborate with Development staff to ensure timely and accurate month end close of all contributed support revenue.
- Support event management by ensuring accurate recording of revenue and expenses as well as determining non-deductible contributions for participants.
- Month-end reconciliation of Donor database to the GL.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Sage Intacct a plus but not required
- Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP accounting, nonprofit accounting principles and financial reporting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Works cooperatively & collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, external agencies & other applicable third parties
- Ability to manage and prioritize competing deadlines
- Detail oriented and organized work skills
- Able to sit & work at a computer for extended periods of time
- Able to bend, reach, retrieve, & carry files
- High ethical standards and integrity
